The Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) requires entities with one or more employees in Canada be in compliance by the January 1, 2021 deadline.
There are multiple requirements including:
- Websites and mobile apps are in conformance with WCAG 2.1 AA
- Accessibility policy and plan must be maintained and publicly available on an entitiies website.
- Accessibility training
- The compliance deadline for the Government of Ontario and Legislative Assembly has passed (January 1, 2020)
- January 1, 2021 is the deadline for compliance for public sector organizations and large organizations
